She’s Ready raises questions about the roles people play in everyday life. More than that, the film sheds light on the movements of women’s bodies, reaffirming their creative ability and freedom to make their own lives.

She’s Ready explores the choreographic aspects of a wedding and freely reworks its movements in an improvised way with actresses and dancers. On stage, other women add other versions, colours and sparkles to the body of the bride. The film deconstructs narratives and creates others, revealing alternative rhythms and dances by playing with body language and gesture.

Assuming that life is construction and a creative process, the film playfully touches (on) and exposes the boundaries that separate fact and fiction, life and the stage. Layers of sound and image explode the limit between what is on camera and what is off. Everything is film and performance and everything is real. She’s Ready is about gestures, attitudes, choices and movements.
